Gays want monogamous relationships. Congressmen want anonymous sex in the bathroom.

Gay marriage bans were deemed unconstitutional under equal protection and due process clauses, says an Iowa judge in Polk County. Nutjobs in the county vow an appeal and Republicans in the legislature are going nuts about family values. You know, like Sen Larry Craig, R-Idaho, who likes to have sex with strangers in bathrooms. And Colorado Evangelical Minister Ted Haggard, who trades sex with male prostitutes for meth.

Seriously. Extremist "Christian" right folks are losing the moral "high-ground." The more they call homosexuality a version of perversity, the more eerie men with mustaches come out of the woodwork.

What's going to be the right's reasoning this time for banning monogamous unions?

Dan Savage talks best about the state of crooked congress members having sex in bathrooms, then blaming it on black men...

Wow, I really hate TV Cable news. Well, then again I really hate network news, and really any news that isn't the NewsHour with Jim Leher.

Just the way that the host interuppts a guest with the insightful questions of "Whose fault is that?" roils me. How does anyone learn anything while watching news where the host is designed to be almost arguing with the experts?

That said, Dan Savage came off as incredibly smart and well spoken compared to the oaf 'interviewing' him.

Goddamn that Liberal Media, destroying the world and all. Though consider this. Journalists aren't out to be seen as smart, but to bring out insights from their sources. This leaves journalists in the predicament of having to ask really stupid questions, and look stupid doing so, in order to get experts to clarify facts that seem completely obvious.

Example,

Professor McFeely at NYU says, "The conceptual determinism inherent in the policies of this administration make them believe that U.S. forces are actually 'succeeding' in Iraq, while never taking historical precedent into consideration. You know?"

Wolf Blitzer: "No I don't, could you please clarify what you mean by 'determinism of the policies' and specify which 'historical precedents.'"

Professor McFeely: Ya know, the administration has a superiority complex wherein it believes it can call the shots there before they have happened, and they fail to take into account other failed instances where Western powers have tried to democratize a region by force, such as Chile in 1973, and Algeria in the 1950s.

You see, the journalist had to ask stupid questions for clarification even though academics likely could initially understand McFeely's point.

To the average joe, they would've been lost from the beginning.

Or did I just blow your mind...

Wolf Blitzer still sucks.
